Last weekend J-WRC contender Kevin Abbring became the surprise in Porec- Croatie, a city which would like to be known as the Croation Riviera, where he competed in the Eastern Europe RallyAllStars challenge.
On the entry list numerous champions like Juha Kankkunen, Armin Schwarz, Hermann Gassner, Krzyszstof Holowczyz, Boris Gadasin, Popoc, Petrovic etc. In a two days event which was amongst others sponsored by the city of Porec and Red Bull, the competitors had to tackle the challenge circuit in Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9 as well as Opel Antara off road Dakar machines. Also the little rain on Sunday made the conditions very spectatcular for the spectators.
At the end Kevin Abbring and Armin Schwarz qualified for the finals in which they had to use the Dakar machines. After 2 stunning rounds Kevin Abbring kept cool and came out as the winner of the event, after Juha Kankkunen won the race for 3rd place against Boris Gadasin.
