FIA World Rallycross Championship 2016: Calendar [fvr/10/29/15]
The calendar for the 2016 FIA World Rallycross Championship has been revealed. The schedule counts 12 events (instead of 13 this year). In comparison to 2015 the events in Italy and Turkey are dropped from the calendar while Latvia has been added.
Montalegre in Portugal will host the season opener (April 16-17). A return to the Hockenheimring follows, which will see Rallycross join the DTM series again for its season-opening weekend (May 7-8). No date changes have been made to the rounds in Belgium, Canada, England, France and Spain, while Argentina will once again wrap up the season from November 26-27.

17.09.-18.09. - Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya - Montmeló - Spain
01.10.-02.10. - Biķernieki Sport Complex - Riga - Latvia
15.10.-16.10. - Estering - Buxtehude - Germany
26.11.-27.11. - Autódromo Rosario Juan Manuel Fangio - Rosario - Argentina
Building on the success of this year, the FIA European Rallycross Championship will continue to run at five rounds (Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Spain and Latvia) - Latvia will replace Italy as a FIA European Rallycross Championship round in 2016. The FIA European Super1600 Rallycross Championship will comprise of six rounds (Portugal, England, Sweden, France, Spain and Germany) while the FIA European TouringCar Rallycross Championship will be made up of five events (Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Latvia and Germany). It is expected that the RX Lites Cup will follow a similar schedule to 2015.
