TÜV approval for Rally Car

    I live in Kiel, and do not speak much German. I have just finished preparing a Group N3 Opel Astra G OPC. Thanks for all of the help offered on the forum!


    I now wish to get a TÜV approval for the car. I know this subject has probably been answered on this forum in German, but would someone be kind enough to be give me advice on how to get this done?


    The key changes are (most are obvious):


    - FIA approved weld-in roll cage with certification
    - Sabelt FIA seatbelts
    - No rear seats
    - Limited slip diff
    - Upgraded ECU
    - Smaller brakes from 2.0L ABS Astra
    - Upgrades shocks
    - Carbon fiber door panels
    - Interior trim removed


    Finally, please advise if it allowed to remove the airbags and still obtain TÜV approval.

    Sadly the approval at TÜV depends from the person who will check your car. Some TÜV workers are DMSB Sachverständige (DMSB specialists) In kiel W. Bartels TÜV Nord. These people will better understand what you are doing. So you will have less problems.
    Normaly it is not allowed to remove the airbags.
    In Germany it is generally not allowed to downgrade the safety parts of your car.
    Without rear seats you have to change the numbers of pasengers in the papers from 4 ore 5 to 2. (Tüv will do this)

    es ist in deutschland sehr wohl erlaubt, den airbag auszubauen. allerdings darf das nur jemand (offiziell), der eine schulung für dieses fahrzeug bzw die marke hat, sprich eine fachwerkstatt.

    Wie siehts eigentlich mit Heckspoilern aus???


    habe hier noch was selbsangefertigtes mit Brief vom Fahrzeug wo´s schonmal eingetragen war...


    Spoiler wird mit der Heckklappe (peugeot 205) verschraubt - auf was muss ich achten, wo könnt´s probleme geben???

    sowas muss neuerdings mit einem fangseil ausgestattet sein
