Na da ist aber einer wirklich stinkesauer
Hier mal sein Statment von seine Website
The weekend of sweeping is finished: phew! In this rally I particularly want to point out the big points we have scored for both championships. But hey you know what I like most is winning and here, it was not possible.
It's a shame because the DS3 was working very well and showed its reliability, the tyres were good, I was the fastest, but with this rule for starting order, it is often the one in the lead who suffers... So we ended up with strategies that we appreciate, or not!
It's like that when there are no number 1 and number 2 drivers. Whoever is behind can choose their strategy. There is no set agreement, each driver makes his choice and in part that's what I also asked for from the base.
I may have a professional bias in the sense that I always had the team behind me, and I've always wanted to have this support. I realise now that I don't necessarily have it. Well, that's how it is and I'll have to get used to it.
Ogier used the strategy he thought was the best to win and he has the freedom to do so. He has done well because he won. You can not blame him. But I am frustrated to have swept for two days, for being the fastest, and not being able to achieve (the win). Finally in the end, I do not blame the team or my team mate: it is clear that the rule is the basis for the bad taste. Now they are saying it will change, but hey, it took a while!
Well, we continue to lead with a good cushion, it is time to take a short break and get away. On program, some boating with friends. We will be going slower but it's also nice.
See you in Finland.
Bye for
